As many of you know, I am a part-time instructor at Seattle Central Community College. I have been teaching there since 2001 and very much love my job. But, this week I found out that our state senate wants to cut health care benefits for part-time employees.
Seriously, don’t tell Jesus or his old man that I am an Atheist because after another rough quarter, I really needed this vacation. And, you know my wife needed it too.
So far, 2012 has been shaping up to be one hell of another year. My schedule has been anything but lite, the boy is growing up faster than I can keep up with, the cat has become a professional at walking in front of me everywhere and the dog’s pathetic face has been fine-tuned into an absolute masterpiece.
Yup… The wife, the dog, the boy and I headed out to Idaho again for our vacation this year. But, this time it wasn’t just a vacation. This time, it was a reconnaissance mission as well.
This summer I was going to take User Centered Web Design (HCDE537) at the University of Washington. But, I decided against it because I wanted to have a lighter summer than I did the previous year.
Some say that the older you get, the more conservative you become. I say that the older I have gotten, the more I have become a tax (the rich) and spend (on education) liberal.
You may think that August is a little young to already be attending a class reunion. But today, he attended his Childbirth Class Reunion with the rest of his fellow classmates.
